Vomiting or throwing up is not a pleasant experience. Trying to suppress it can cause further uneasiness and discomfort. Vomiting can be a sign of a disease like viral infection; or problems like overeating, food poisoning or too much drinking. The following tips will help to alleviate your symptoms as quickly as possible.
Curry leaves, lemon juice and honey
To prevent morning sickness, nausea and vomiting take out the juice of about ten to fifteen curry leaves. Add a teaspoon each of honey and lemon juice to it and mix well. Drink this twice a day to feel better.
Mint, ginger, lemon and honey
While ginger is great for your digestive system; mint, honey and lemon give instant relief from vomiting. Get two teaspoons of juice by crushing together a small piece of ginger and fifteen mint leaves. Add a teaspoon each of lemon juice and honey to this mixture, mix well and drink twice a day.
Replenish the lost water content in your body by drinking a good amount of water. In case of excessive vomiting, drink only small amounts of water. If you feel like eating, have watermelons and muskmelons as they are rich in water content.
Avoid dairy products
Stay away from milk and other dairy products like yogurt, cheese and ice cream for 24 hours. These can be difficult to digest while you are suffering from nausea and vomiting.
