Uses Of Lemon


We all know that lemon is used in a variety of ways to cook great food. But lemon is also beneficial in many other ways. Here are some of them.

Gives glowing skin

The collagen and antibacterial properties in lemon provides a healthy glow to your skin. Make a paste of lemon with yogurt or milk, honey, gram flour and turmeric. Apply this on your face, leave for fifteen minutes and wash with cold water.

Removes dandruff and repairs hair

Mix the juice of a lemon with yogurt or a paste of fenugreek seeds and apply on hair. Let it dry. Wash with warm water to get dandruff free scalp.

Whitens dark areas

To bid goodbye to the dark skin in your armpits, elbows and knees, massage with lemon juice. Keep for twenty minutes and wash off. You can also make a scrub of lemon peels and oats and use it to lighten dark skin.

Cleans dirty surfaces

Use lemon pieces to clean dirty surfaces like kitchen sink, gas stove, bathroom tiles, etc. The antibacterial properties of lemon help in sanitising work areas.

Removes stains

Lemon helps to get rid of stubborn stains on clothes. Rub the affected area with a piece of lemon, leave for ten minutes and rinse well.
