Dry ginger, asafoetida and black salt
Asafoetida and black salt are strong remedies for gas while ginger aids in digestion. Add a pinch each of dry ginger powder, asafoetida and black salt to a glass of warm water. Mix well and drink once everyday to get relief from flatulence.
Black pepper, dry ginger and green cardamom
Another natural remedy which can be drunk an hour after every meal is made of pepper, ginger and cardamom. Take a teaspoon each of black pepper and dry ginger powder. Add this to a glass of warm water along with half a teaspoon of green cardamom powder.
Ginger and lemon juice
Ginger has the ability to stop gas from forming in your stomach. Soak slices of fresh ginger in lemon juice for an hour. Chew a few slices after each meal.
Peppermint calms the digestive muscles thereby reducing bloating, flatulence and abdominal pain. Add some fresh peppermint leaves to a cup of boiling water. Let it sit, then slowly drink two to three times a day.
Avoid gas producing food items
Reduce the consumption of cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, beans, bread and cheese as they produce gas in the body and can lead to flatulence. Keep away from carbonated drinks.
