Thinking of ways to get rid of suntan? Think no more. These home remedies will bestow you with tan free, soft and supple skin.
Yogurt is very effective in reducing suntan as it lessens redness and cools the skin. Apply yogurt on the affected areas for 15 to 20 minutes and wash off. Do this regularly to get rid of tan.
Cream of milk and Saffron
Mix the cream of milk with saffron and apply this mixture on the affected areas. Do this thrice a week. The natural moisturizers in milk cream and the skin brightening agents in saffron will provide you with tan free, soft and clear skin.
Red lentil, Tomato and Aloe vera
Make a paste of a tablespoon of soaked red lentil. Take equal quantities of tomato puree and aloe vera extract. Add this to the red lentil paste and mix well. Apply this on the affected areas. Let it rest for half an hour and rinse well.
Soak almonds in water for three to four hours and grind into a rough paste. Scrub the affected areas with this paste and bid goodbye to suntan.
Oatmeal and Buttermilk
Oatmeal exfoliates the skin and buttermilk gives deep nourishment. Take one part of oatmeal to three parts of buttermilk. Mix thoroughly and spread it on the affected areas. Wash off after it dries.
Wrap a few ice cubes in a muslin cloth and apply on the tanned areas. For excessive sun burns, soothe your skin by applying ice directly on the affected areas.
In extreme cases of suntan apply bottle gourd juice on the tanned areas three to four times a day.
