A Support Group for Autistic & Questioning Adults

Are you autistic, or are you questioning whether you are neurodivergent? Are you interested in having a supportive space to explore the various issues you encounter in self-care, relationships, organization, social structures, and so on, with other neurodivergent people?
Format: This group will be open format. In each session there will be time for open discussion, as well as options of activities, depending on what the group is wanting from week to week.
Together we will explore: The joys and challenges of being autistic. Any questions or issues you would like to share or discuss
Possible activities include:
-- Icebreaker questions
-- Prompts for discussion and journaling about common issues autistic people face
-- Playful movement explorations
-- Sharing stims, creative projects, and resources
Accessibility: There will be multiple options for how you would like to participate or observe (and there is always a “something else” option if you want to do something different), so please come as yourself and you will be welcome here.
Participation options include: Camera on or off for speaking or gestures, audio via speaking, AAC, etc., posting in the chat, posting words, pictures, and video on Padlet, messaging to the group chat or DMing the facilitator before, during, or after the group via Whatsapp. All sessions will be closed captioned. There are also some translation options in Zoom captions.

About Facilitator

Moriah Williams (pronouns: q/they/surprise me) is a holistic practitioner who works primarily with people who are autistic or who are exploring their neurodivergence. Moriah offers education and private sessions. Q has presented for the Alternatives Conference, Southwestern College, Indiana Disability Justice, Multicultural Efforts to End Sexual Assault, the National Empowerment Center, and others. Moriah lives in the southwestern U.S. Some of Moriah’s favourite special interests include trees, birds, poetry, goofy songs, asking questions, and exploring our embodied relationship to power, liberation, and joy.
