The autistic community’s greatest barrier to success is not innate. It’s the perception of those around them. This course has been curated to help you reflect and introspect your assumptions and modify your beliefs. Moving towards a more inclusive society begins with challenging our beliefs. Are you ready for this journey?

Who is it for?

  1. Parents, family members, colleagues, and friends of autistic people
  2. Professionals working with the autistic community: educators, therapists, social workers, etc.
  3. Students of psychology, education, and sociology.
  4. Autistic teens and adults

Objectives:

  • Participants will learn about the underlying reasons for the autistic way of connecting and perception of the neurotypical regarding the same
  • Participants will be sensitised the impact of a neurotypical perception on the mental health of autistic people
  • Participants will learn what it means to presume competence and way to adjust their approach to reflect a paradigm shift.
