Effective Tips For Eye Care

Our eyes are considered the window to the outside world. What we see with our eyes shapes our experiences and our memories. So, it is very important to take good care of them.

Here are some easy tips to have beautiful shiny eyes!

  1. Apply some castor oil to your eyelashes and your eyebrows (if necessary) before going to bed. Castor oil is known to help in hair growth and helps with thick eyelashes and dense eyebrows.

  2. Cucumbers are known to have so many benefits especially for the eyes. Crush some cucumber juice, mix it with rose water, apply this to your eyes and keep on for 20 minutes. It helps reduce puffiness. Sliced cucumber over your eyes are a great way to beat those tired eyes.

  3. Foods like papaya, spinach, drumstick, carrot have a lot of beta carotene in them which help with healthy eyes.

  4. Rest Rest rest! Adequate sleep and rest are very essential for healthy eyes.

  5. Make sure to exercise at least three to four times a week to help improve blood circulation and let your eyes get enough oxygen.

  6. Another trick to keep your eyelashes dark and dense is to mix some glycerin in coconut oil and apply it over them.

  7. Do not let your eyes get exposed to the sunlight. Make sure to wear sunglasses when you go out during the day.

  8. Drink adequate amount of water to ensure that all the toxins from your body get ejected and there is no puffiness around your eyes.

  9. If you feel disturbance in your eyes, try to blink fast instead of rubbing them. Blinking is a good exercise for your eyes too.

  10. Include a lot of vitamins in your diet (fresh veggies, fruits, nuts, cilantro etc) to help brighten those eyes.

  11. Wash eyes with cold water to get sparkling eyes.

  12. Dip a cotton pad in chilled milk and place it on your eyes. Leave it on for about 10 minutes. This will help soothe your tired eyes.

  13. When we stare into the computer screen or the phone screen, our eyes take on a lot of stress. To completely relax the muscles surrounding your eyes, close them for about 10 minutes. Think of something pleasant and try to calm yourself. Now, slowly open your eyes and just look into the distance.

  14. Remove all eye make up before you go to bed. Make sure to wash your eyes and if needed, you can apply some castor oil before going to bed.
